Deirdre Murphy was born in 1967 in New York City and raised in France, England and Australia as well as Japan. She received her BFA in Painting and Printmaking from the Kansas City Art Institute in Kansas City, Missouri and her MFA from the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. She has dedicated over 30 years as an art educator and climate action artist.
